The Company is a Sevastopol based small industrial manufacturing company that recycles used tires to produce liquid and solid fuel, bituminous mastics and a pigment for paint and varnish industry. During a year of work in the market the Company has become a profitable business and it has the leading position in the region mainly due to its ambitious and pragmatic owners. The Company’s business helps solve an important environmental problem, promotes environmental improvement in the region, and discourages illegal dumps.
Market
According to Company executives and expert estimates, the annual consumption of automobile tires in Ukraine was up to five million units during the past five years, which would have resulted in about 180,000 tons of used tires. However, in 2008 and 2009, just 13,600 tons of used tires per year were recorded as disposed, less than 10% of the real need. The problem of recycling and processing used tires has significant environmental importance in Ukraine.
The Company seeks to significantly expand its capacity from 300 tons per year to 700 tons per year to meet local demand. This expansion will require USD 300,000 of equity funding to purchase new equipment.
