The Fund manager was founded in 2006 as an asset management platform for private investors and the group’s partners. The funds managed by the manager are primarily invested in Russia and other select large emerging markets. Principal asset classes include liquid equities and corporate bonds, private equity and real estate. Its partners and staff are investment professionals with many years of experience in the public and private capital markets.

The Fund was launched in December 2008 and invests in the corporate securities, both equity and debt, of companies operating in major emerging market economies.
The Fund’s objective is long-term capital appreciation under normal market conditions and capital preservation in periods of excessive volatility. In order to achieve this, the Fund employs derivative strategies (so that it can selectively hedge the macro risks associated with its core portfolio) and varies its market exposure (depending on the scale of the market risk).
