TMI Holding Company (Taiwan Innovation Works) is a VC company jointly established by Dr. Kai-Fu Lee, WI Harper Group and ITRI in Taiwan. Today Kai-Fu Lee publicly announced in Chinese mainland that they have invested in Taiwan’ three software companies.
Citiesocial.com, the first venture company invested in by TMI, is an online mall dedicated to selling delicate food, small products with excellent design as well as many accessories of high-end brands like Braun and Lavie, with ostrich pillow as its best-seller. You can also find food from all around the world. According to TMI, Citesocial owns more than 100,000 members and more than 100 partners.
Driving Curve is an IOS application used to trace the speed and the oil consumption for the users through GPS. It’s direct, fashion and has some elements of games in its tracing function. It is downloaded more than 20,000 times per month and its success in France and Taiwan made it very attractive.
TMI also would invest in Peerldea, an application development company. No details could be found about the deal. The founder is known as Liu Weiting, who established SocialPicks, bought by SocialInSight one year ago.
