This Indian steel manufacturing company manufactures steel using waste heat recovery boiler and electric furnace continuous caster methods. At present, the Company has the capacity for 0.11 MTPA sponge iron and a 0.06 MTPA steel billet plant furnace together with two thermal power plants totaling 15 megawatts (a 8 MW waste heat recovery boiler and 7 MW fluidized bed combustion). The Company has assured linkages to raw material sources.
The Company has already obtained environmental clearance for additional facilities that include:
• 0.270 MTPA DRI Plants;
• 0.110 MTPA Blast Furnace;
• 0.268MTPA Induction Furnace;
• 0.268 MTPA Billet Caster;
• 35 MW of Thermal Power Plants;
• Approval to set up private railway siding near the plant.
Market
The Company has possession of 91 acres of land with another 120 acres allocated by the regional Industrial Infrastructure Development Corporation. Water allocation has been approved. In accordance with a MOU signed with the regional government, a 15 million ton deposit of iron ore shall be leased to the Company by the government. The Company has already obtained coal linkage for its sponge iron and power plant.
The Company enjoys significant location advantages due to its close proximity to iron ore (5 kilometers) and proximity to a river that provides a perennial flow of water. It is well connected through rail and road networks and close to existing and planned ports.
The shareholders are open to majority stake sale of the Company.
