The Company is an Indian steel manufacturing business that also has coal and iron mines. It manufactures steel through the Direct Reduced Iron (DRI), Induction Furnace and Continuous Casting. At present, the Company has three 100 TPD DRI kilns with integrated iron ore and coal crushing and handling facility, a 0.1MTPA Steel melting shop with matching continuous casting facility, a 12 MW waste heat coal based power plant. It also has 120 acres of land with approval to set up a private railway siding inside the plant. The Company has clearances necessary to expand capacity to 1MTPA primary steel (Mini Blast Furnace), 0.35 integrated steel plant and 84 MW captive power plant.
The Company has a coal mine with net reserves available to it of around 50 MT through open cast and underground mining methods. About one-third of reserves are E-grade with the balance F-grade coal.
The plant is in close proximity to iron ore and coal raw materials (within 150 kilometers) and it is well connected through a rail and road network and close to existing and planned ports.
