Market
The fashion and home wear industries are one of the most creative and challenging markets that exist today due to the high demand for constant change and new looks. World demand for cashmere garments in high-end markets fluctuates but has been increasing. Demand for average quality cashmere in lower-end mass markets (such as Wal-Mart and Marks and Spencer) has grown rapidly. The Company offers its fabrics and designs for highly specialized European and American Customers in the business to business (B2B) segment.
Cotton and silk processing is at a fairly mature level in Uzbekistan, while cashmere is considered as a niche commodity which can bring more income to local households. High quality cashmere is scarce worldwide but is produced by Central Asian local goats. Although Uzbekistan is one of the producers of raw cashmere, local processing plants are still rare, not only in Uzbekistan but in the entire Central Asian region. However, most cashmere processing takes place in China.
The Company is seeking additional investment of up to 900k Euros to set up a local cashmere production unit/workshop in Uzbekistan.
