Finance a Green project for the production of a high demand industrial material
The Business
The proposed Project is the development of a plant to produce Continuous Basalt Fiber, an industrial material that is used in the construction, automotive and aviation industries. CBF can be used for construction reinforcement, protective products that are resistant to high temperature and fire, air filtration, electrical insulation and heat and sound insulation for engines and turbines among many others. Basalt fiber has higher chemical resistance as compared with fiberglass and steel products. CBF is considered a green industrial material of the 21st century.

The Project will be developed using the premises and production facilities of the project sponsor, a Company founded in 1992 that is engaged in design, production, sales and application of small-panel metal formwork. The Company also designs, constructs and produces special stage constructions for large-scale events.
Market
The planned production volume is 2,000 tons of CBF and about 2,000 tons of shapes and profiles per year. The raw material supply will be natural crushed basalt from Armenian quarries. The principal investment outlays are the purchase of equipment, plant building modernization, and mine licensing and mineral quarrying.

The principal market for the Project’s CBF is expected to be export.
